About Jen

Jen Harvey was born and raised in Berkshire County, and studied English at the College of Charleston in South Carolina where she fell in love with (and continues to return to) the South.

Jen moved back to the Berkshires after time in Manhattan to raise her children. “Growing up here, one does not appreciate the true abundance of culture, food, outdoor life and just the beauty of all four seasons,” she says.  “After living in other places and coming back I became very thankful I had such strong roots here and such a comfort with where I was.”

Her real estate career began long before selling homes. She explains, “the MLS used to be print form, and my mother would get copies and I would go through each issue front to back and look at all the homes around the area. I remember being at the local park and I overheard parents talking about a house down the street and I told them the price; they asked if I was in real estate and I said I was 16 but...I should have said not yet! I have since renovated and built homes and enjoy all eras of architecture.”
“I got my license 13 years ago and opened my own company five years later after realizing that I wanted to do it differently. During my first few years I became close with many of my colleagues in the business and was lucky enough to have already been friends with Tim Lovett. He and I enjoyed very much competing in both getting listings and selling them; our friendship flourished and people found our conversations in social settings anchored in real estate and travel…but mostly real estate Everywhere. We talked a lot about how we would do it differently and then one day we sat down and laid out a plan stuffed with ideas and images and the makings of a powerful brand. I love what I do, I love where I do it and I love working with people.”
